Dear Jazz Lover:
The 2011 Greater Hartford Festival of Jazz, New England's largest free outdoor jazz festival, will be held on July 15, 16, and 17, in Hartford's Bushnell Park. As in the past, we will feature national and international artists bringing the best in traditional and contemporary jazz. Check out the artist line-up on our website, www.hartfordjazz.org. you may not recognize some of the names, but take it from me, the music will be fantastic! We will also feature local and up-and-coming talent on our Friends of the Festival Stage on Saturday and Sunday afternoons and a late Saturday night dance fest at the Friends of the Festival Stage!
The GHFJ is a non-profit organization, relying on sponsorships, grants and donations for support, and volunteers to ensure that the "show goes on"! This year finances are especially tight in light of the tough economic times, and we are relying more on Friends like you to present the best Festival possible. In past years, you responded enthusiastically and we thank you! This year we again invite you to become a Friend of the Festival, so that we can make the Festival bigger and better.
We are offering three levels of support, and as a “Friend”, you will enjoy some “perks”:
Friend of the Festival - Bronze $50
- Your name in a special section of the Festival program
Friend of the Festival - Silver $75
- Your name in a special section of the Festival program
- A 10% discount on all Official Festival merchandise (T-shirts, etc.)
Friend of the Festival - Gold $100
- Your name in a special section of the Festival program
- A 10% discount on all Official Festival merchandise (T-shirts, etc.)
- A 2011 Festival T-shirt!
Please fill out the form on the reverse of this letter… and please join us in July for some of the hottest and coolest jazz in Connecticut!
Art Levin
Coordinator, Friends of the Festival
